Self-flowing/melting alloy powder HRNi22A Description
Self-flowing/melting alloy powder based on nickel, HRNi22A, can be utilised when subsequent melting might distort a component or when the substrate cannot tolerate the heat from the melting process. Self-flowing/melting materials fuse partially during the spray process; consequently, a subsequent melting step is not required.

Self-flowing/melting alloy powder HRNi22A Applications
- Flame spraying/melting
- Glass moulding
- Various casting methods
Manufacturers design these self-melting alloy powders based on nickel for two‐stage spray/melt metallising of iron components. Users apply these powders to parts made of carbon steel, alloyed and stainless steels, cast iron, Monel, nickel and cobalt alloys. Users do not apply these powders to brass, bronze or aluminium. Users may take additional precaution when using these powders on other alloys. The selected grade determines the coating hardness, which ranges from HRC 33 to HRC 65.
