Self-flowing/melting Alloy Powder HRNi28A Description
The self-melting, nickel-based alloy powder HRNi28A is used when a subsequent melting process may distort a component or when the substrate cannot withstand the process heat. Self-melting materials partially fuse during the spraying process, thereby eliminating the requirement for a subsequent melting step.

Self-flowing/Melting Alloy Powder HRNi28A Applications
- Flame spraying/melting
- Glass forming
- Various casting forms
These self-melting, nickel-based alloy powders are designed for a two-stage spray/melt metallising process on iron components where increased resistance to corrosion and/or wear is necessary. They can be applied to parts and components manufactured from carbon steel, alloy or stainless steel, cast iron, Monel, nickel and cobalt-based alloys. They cannot be applied to brass, bronze or aluminium and may require special precautions when used with certain other alloys. Depending on the selected grade, a coating hardness of HRC 33 to 65 is achieved.
