Description of Monel 400 Wire
Monel 400 is a ductile nickel-copper alloy that is hardened by cold working.
This alloy exhibits a low corrosion resistance with specific operating parameters. It offers reliable weldability and high strength. It maintains excellent mechanical properties even at sub-zero temperatures and can be used at temperatures up to 538°C. It is particularly resistant to hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid when properly vented.
Monel 400 shows a low corrosion rate in flowing seawater; consequently, it is widely used in the maritime industry.
