One electrode is ingeniously connected to a stainless steel crucible, while the other engages with a graphite crucible. The innovative design ensures that the graphite crucible is directly heated by a low-voltage direct current supply, while the quartz tube benefits from the uniform heat distribution of a resistance furnace, guaranteeing consistent temperatures in the crucible. Additionally, the furnace is equipped with a flange that contains a feeding system, allowing for the addition of materials during the vacuum melting process. This feature-rich furnace is particularly suitable for the synthesis of small samples of rare metal alloys such as Neodymium, providing precision and control for advanced materials research and development.
