Boron nitride, also known as BN, hexagonal boron nitride (H-BN) and hot‐pressed boron nitride, is a self‐lubricating ceramic that endures high temperatures and retains its lubricity in high vacuum environments. Hexagonal boron nitride (H-BN) exhibits mechanical behaviour analogous to graphite and provides electrical resistance compliant with industry specifications.
