Cadmium Hydroxide Powder Description:
Cadmium Hydroxide Powder (CAS: 21041-95-2) is a white amorphous powder. It absorbs carbon dioxide from the air. Cadmium Hydroxide Powder is soluble in dilute acids, ammonium hydroxide and ammonium chloride solutions, slightly soluble in sodium hydroxide solution and almost insoluble in water. It is toxic and may be carcinogenic.
Cadmium Hydroxide is used in the production of nickel-cadmium batteries, in the manufacture of other cadmium salts, in the treatment of metal surfaces and in gas chromatography analysis. Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) supplies cadmium hydroxide.
