Application of Dewaxing and Sintering Furnaces with Controlled Multi-Gas Supply

- The sinter furnace is a graphite heating furnace that performs high‐temperature heat treatment under a vacuum or controlled atmosphere. It is primarily employed for dewaxing and sintering cemented carbide products.

Features of the Dewaxing and Sintering Furnace with Controlled Multi-Gas Supply

- The graphite lining is utilised to achieve differential pressure dewaxing and to maintain furnace cleanliness;
- A wax guiding device prevents contamination of the vacuum pumps;
- Three independently operating heaters ensure uniform temperature distribution in the high-pressure heating zone. They are fitted with a system for detecting insulation resistance in the heater circuit, thereby identifying faults promptly;
- Dewaxing and sintering are performed in a single batch. This procedure avoids oxygen enrichment and damage during the transfer to the sintering furnace as observed in conventional processes; consequently, the production cycle is shortened, energy consumption is reduced and material use is lowered.

Functions of the Dewaxing and Sintering Furnace with Controlled Multi-Gas Supply

- Automatic sealing test;
- Four dewaxing functions: vacuum dewaxing, under-pressure (Ar) differential pressure dewaxing, micro-overpressure pulse (H2) dewaxing, and constant pressure (H2) dewaxing;
- Three sintering functions: Ar-atmosphere sintering, flowing gas multi-atmosphere sintering (atmospheric treatment), and vacuum sintering;
- Rapid cooling function;
- Fully automatic control with a computer–operator interface.
