Introduction This study highlights the synthesis of diarylmethane compounds using ruthenium catalysts under mild photoredox conditions, eliminating the need for additional photocatalysts. The process demonstrates significant versatility and robustness, accommodating various C−H benzylation reactions. It also effectively transforms pyrazoles, imidates, and sensitive nucleosides. Mechanistic insights suggest a photoactive cyclometalated ruthenium complex, facilitating versatile C−H allylations.
