Ferro-Titan Powder (FeTi30-A) Description
Ferro-Titan Powder (FeTi30-A) is a ferroalloy containing 25~75% Ti and 25~75% Fe. It is primarily used as a deoxidiser and degassing agent in the steel industry. Given that titanium deoxidises the melt, FeTi30-A is employed to reduce the segregation of steel blocks or to improve their quality. In flame steels, ferrosilicon is used for precipitation deoxidisation and diffusion deoxidisation. The addition of a specified quantity of silicon to steel increases its strength, hardness and elasticity, improves its permeability and reduces the hysteresis loss of transformer steel.
