High Carbon Ferro Manganese Powder/ HC-FeMn Powder Description
Ferro-manganese is an alloy with a high manganese content. It is produced by heating a mixture of oxides, MnO2 and Fe2O3, with a high carbon content in a blast furnace or an electric arc furnace. The oxides undergo a carbothermic reduction in the furnaces, thereby producing ferro-manganese. Ferro-manganese is used as a deoxidising and desulphurising agent in steel production.
