Holmium(III)-Fluoride Powder Description
Holmium fluoride is used primarily in ceramics, glass, phosphors and metal halide lamps. It serves as a dopant for the Granatlaser. Holmium lasers are employed in medical, dental and fibre optic applications. Holmium is one of the pigments used in the production of cubic zirconia and glass that impart a yellow or red colouration. Consequently, they are used as calibration standards for optical spectrophotometers and are available from commercial suppliers. Holmium(III)-fluoride is also utilised as a pigment in cubic zirconia and glass to produce a yellow or red colour.
