202 Stainless Steel Powder Description

202 Stainless Steel Powder is a finely milled form of stainless steel alloy 202. It is principally composed of iron, chromium and nickel. The powder is produced by atomisation or milling of stainless steel blocks or scrap. It provides defined properties, including corrosion resistance, high strength and acceptable formability.

Stainless Steel 202 has a chromium and nickel content comparable to Stainless Steel 304. However, due to a higher content of carbon, chromium and nickel, Stainless Steel 304 exhibits increased hardness and improved corrosion resistance. The 202 grade is generally available at a lower price than the 304 grade.
