Nitinol Guide Wire Description

Nitinol Guide Wire is made from a kink-resistant Nickel-Titanium Wire (Nitinol), coated with a thermoplastic polymer. Guide wires are designed to facilitate access during urological procedures and to assist in the passage of endourological instruments as determined by clinicians. Its outer surface is configured for transurethral and/or percutaneous access to the bladder, ureter, and renal pelvis.

TheNitinol Guide Wire consists of a core material from a NiTi alloy, providing excellent straightness and flexibility, thus demonstrating resistance to bending. It offers good torque, pushability, and maneuverability, with enhanced guiding properties that enable a 1:1 torque transfer. The outer coating is made of PTFE, which provides excellent lubricity, reduces friction, and improves flexibility during operation. The tip, made from PU material, is coated with a hydrophilic layer, making it soft and gentle to minimize tissue damage during procedures.

The guide wire is available in a variety of configurations, offering multiple sizes (lengths and diameters), tip designs, and stiffness options to meet the specific requirements of each procedure.
