The High-Strength Basalt Fiber Cloth Laminate is a state-of-the-art composite developed by reinforcing a thermosetting epoxy matrix with basalt fiber fabric. The basalt fibers, typically in the 9–13 μm range, are arranged in plain or twill weave and impregnated with a high glass-transition-temperature epoxy system. 1.       Common Preparation Methods

The manufacturing process begins with heat-cleaned basalt fiber fabric, treated with silane coupling agents to enhance epoxy adhesion. A dicyandiamide-cured bisphenol-A epoxy resin with thermal fillers is formulated and used to impregnate the fabric, which is then squeezed to the desired resin content. Laminates are stacked to the required thickness and cured in multiple stages: initial degassing at 80°C, B-stage curing at 120°C, and final curing at 180°C under pressure. After curing, the material is annealed, surface-treated for corona resistance, and CNC-trimmed to precision. Rigorous dielectric and thermal aging tests ensure high reliability and consistent quality.
