EPGC201/G‑10 Epoxy‑Phenolic Glass Fabric Laminate is a high-pressure composite consisting of multiple layers of alkali-free E‑glass cloth thoroughly impregnated with epoxy resin and then hot-pressed under heat and pressure. The result is a rigid, dense material that offers exceptional mechanical strength, including high tensile, compressive, and flexural resistance, as well as robust impact durability. It exhibits excellent dimensional stability across a wide temperature range, with continuous service up to approximately 130 °C (Class B), and even brief tolerance up to around 140 °C. Its moisture absorption is minimal, typically under 0.25% by weight after 24 hours, ensuring reliable insulation performance even in humid or wet environments.

EPGC201/G‑10 displays outstanding dielectric properties: it maintains high insulation resistance (on the order of 10¹² Ω), offers dielectric strength above 14 MV/m, and possesses a dielectric constant around 5.5 with low dissipation, making it suitable for high-voltage uses. 1.       Common Preparation Methods

The production of EPGC201/G‑10 begins with alkali-free E‑glass fabric that is precisely impregnated with a formulated epoxy resin matrix—typically a mixture of low-molecular-weight epoxy (e.g., diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A), a higher-viscosity epoxy modifier, curing agents, and solvents. This wet lamination forms what is known as a "prepreg" sheet, which is then baked to remove solvents and partially advance the resin structure, producing a tacky but stable intermediate. These prepreg layers are then stacked in the desired number and orientation, often interleaved with carrier mats and films, and loaded into a hot press. Under controlled temperature (commonly 150–200 °C) and high pressure, the layup is thermally cured, consolidating the layers, eliminating voids, and forming a fully cross-linked, rigid composite. The cured laminate is then cooled and trimmed to size using precision cutting, after which it is inspected and stored. This hot pressing and curing method ensures uniform resin distribution, excellent mechanical and dielectric properties, and reliable thickness control across EPGC201/G‑10 panels.
