Methyl hesperidin is a fine crystalline powder. Its colour ranges from white to pale yellow. Its molecular structure includes selective methylation at the 7‐hydroxyl position of the native hesperidin aglycone, which increases lipophilicity. The calculated logP value is 1.8, compared with −0.3 for hesperidin. Its water solubility exceeds 50 mg/mL at ambient temperature. The glycosidic moiety is retained, and aqueous solubility is pH dependent, with a maximum at pH 6.5–7.0. Thermogravimetric analysis shows the powder is stable up to 200°C with minimal mass loss below this temperature. The crystalline lattice is monoclinic.
