Polymer Processing Aids (Cable Grade) are polymer additives developed for the extrusion processes in the manufacture of wire, cable and fibre. They correspond to Polymer Processing Aid FX 5912. These free‐flowing thermoplastic fluoropolymer compounds are applied at low concentrations (200–1 000 ppm) to improve processing performance. They have been formulated to reduce or eliminate die build-up, lower extrusion pressure and increase throughput, thereby contributing to a stable production process.
