Tantal Capillaries Description
Tantal capillary tubes are produced from high-purity Tantal. They have a high melting point and high hardness. They remain stable at elevated temperatures and pressures, and they have a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which maintains dimensional stability. Tantal capillaries demonstrate corrosion resistance and provide electrical conductivity within defined limits. They are employed in various chemical processes and industrial applications. Their biocompatibility permits their use in medical implants and other biomedical devices. Consequently, these capillary tubes are suitable for aerospace, electronics, petrochemical, and medical applications. We supply Tantal capillary tubes that meet strict quality criteria to satisfy the requirements of diverse applications.

Tantal and Tantal Alloys
- R05200, unalloyed Tantal, produced by electron beam furnace or vacuum arc melting, or both.
- R055400, unalloyed Tantal, produced by powder metallurgy consolidation.
- R05255, Tantal alloy containing 90% Tantal and 10% Tungsten, produced by an electron beam furnace or vacuum arc melting, or both.
- R05252, Tantal alloy containing 97.5% Tantal and 2.5% Tungsten, produced by an electron beam or vacuum arc melting process, or both.
- R05240, Tantal alloy containing 60% Tantal and 40% Niobium, produced by an electron beam furnace or vacuum arc melting.
Applications of Tantal Capillaries
1. Electronics: The high melting point, low vapour pressure and specified electrical conductivity support their use in electronic components. They are used to manufacture electronic parts, interconnects for integrated circuits, and precision electronic tubes.
2. Aerospace: The capillaries are employed due to their high strength, low density and resistance to high temperatures. They serve in the production of structural components for aircraft and rockets, as well as furnace tubes and crucibles for high-temperature furnaces.
3. Medical Technology: Their biocompatibility and corrosion resistance allow their use in medical implants. They are used in the production of artificial joints, dental implants, cardiovascular devices and other biomedical equipment.
4. Chemical and Petroleum Industries: The capillaries show corrosion resistance and are used in chemical reactors, pipes, valves, and pumps. In the oil industry, they serve in the manufacture of drilling equipment and pipelines.
5. Military: Their hardness and wear resistance permit their use in the manufacture of arms, ammunition and weapon components.
6. Other Applications: Tantal capillaries are used in furnace tubes for high-temperature furnaces, thermocouple protection tubes and in metal processing tools.
