Tantalum Sheet and Tantalum Plate Description
Tantalum Sheet and Tantalum Plate consist of dark blue-grey Tantalum, a metal that is very heavy, ductile and hard, with high resistance to corrosion. They are particularly resistant to chemicals at temperatures below 150 °C and can only be dissolved using hydrofluoric acid. Tantalum sheets and plates have a high melting point and can form extremely thin, protective oxide layers for high-quality capacitors, which makes them suitable for capacitor production.
Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) is a leading international supplier of Tantalum sheets and plates. The company has over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and selling Tantalum products. We supply our clients with Tantalum sheets and plates that meet rigorous technical standards at a competitive price.

Applications of Tantalum Sheets and Plates
Tantalum is used in laboratories as a component in precision instruments that ensure accuracy in scientific experiments. It is employed as a cost-effective substitute for platinum in various industrial processes. Tantalum is utilised in the manufacture of superalloys and contributes to their strength and durability, particularly when processed using electron beam melting. Metallurgy, mechanical engineering, glass and ceramics are among the fields that benefit from its high resistance to corrosion. Tantalum is added to nickel-based superalloys to enhance performance under demanding conditions. Additionally, Tantalum is used in the production of sputter targets, which are essential for semiconductor manufacturing. It is also employed in the manufacture of prosthetic ears and in the production of effective seals made from glass or metal.
Packaging of Tantalum Sheets and Plates
Our Tantalum sheets and plates are stored and transported under controlled conditions in order to maintain their original quality.
