Molybdenum Disulphide Powder Description
Molybdenum Disulphide (MoS2) is a silvery‐black solid that belongs to the metal dichalcogenides. The powder exhibits an appearance comparable to graphite. It is employed as a solid lubricant in order to reduce friction and to extend the operational life of components.
Molybdenum disulphide provided by SAM is available either as a powder or as a dispersion. It displays good solubility in water and ethanol. The dispersion concentration for fine MoS2 particles in water is adjustable from 0.1 mg/ml to 5 mg/ml.
