Description
Selenium evaporation materials, generally referred to as Se evaporation materials, are specific substances used to seal thin selenium films. Applications
Selenium evaporation materials are used for the manufacture of solar cells, optical coatings and thin‐film transistors. In solar cells, thin selenium layers serve as the active component that converts sunlight into electricity. In optical coatings, selenium films may adjust the reflective or transmissive properties of optical components. In thin‐film transistors, selenium films function as the semiconductor layer that regulates the electrical current.
The evaporation process is typically conducted within a vacuum chamber. A heated crucible or an electron beam is employed to evaporate the selenium evaporation materials. The vapour condenses on the substrate and forms a thin, uniform film.
