Wolfram Flange Description
The tungsten pipe flange pertains to the flange utilised in piping systems for pipeline installation. It is employed on equipment to connect the inlet and outlet flanges of the apparatus. The flange incorporates openings, and bolts secure the two flanges together. Gaskets provide the sealing for the flanges.
Tungsten is the element with the highest melting point. The tungsten flange exhibits high strength, hardness and corrosion resistance. Moreover, the tungsten flange is hard, wear‐resistant, corrosion‐resistant and heat resistant. It is used as a shielding material because it provides radiation shielding functionality and a high specific weight.

Wolfram Flange Applications
1. The tungsten flange is utilised for connecting two pipes and for coupling the pipe ends via the flanges.
2. It is used for the inlet and outlet of devices and for connecting two devices. Most tungsten flanges possess a circular configuration with external ribs and various threaded holes, whereby screws provide additional security and strength.
3. The tungsten flange is typically used in the medical industry to shield radiation. Given that it is manufactured from a tungsten alloy, the flange exhibits substantial mechanical properties, ductility and high compressive strength, and it effectively attenuates ionising radiation.
