Materials For Zirconium Evaporation

Zirconium is a metal that exhibits high tensile strength, malleability and ductility. It possesses a silver-grey lustre. Zirconium belongs to Group IV of the periodic table, which includes hafnium and titanium. In powder form, the metal becomes combustible. Tests show a corrosion rate of less than 0.02 mm per year in chloride environments. It remains stable at temperatures exceeding 1 000 °C.
