Waspaloy Powder Description
Waspaloy (UNS N07001) is a heat‐curable superalloy based on nickel. It maintains its strength at temperatures up to 980°C (1 800°F). It is used as a forming material for forged and fabricated gas turbine and aerospace components. Its strength is comparable to that of alloy R41 and exceeds that of alloy 718 when temperatures exceed 1200–1300°F (650–705°C). Waspaloy is employed in high‐temperature applications, particularly in gas turbines.
Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) is a global supplier of Waspaloy (UNS N07001) powder. It has more than two decades of experience in the manufacture and sale of Waspaloy (UNS N07001) products.

Waspaloy Powder Applications
Waspaloy Powder is used in environments with significant thermal and mechanical demands. It is applied in gas turbine blades, seals, rings, shafts and turbine discs. The NIST‐certified reference material 1243 is produced from Waspaloy and serves as a standard for X‐ray fluorescence spectroscopy. The Waspaloy alloy is cold‐formed in its annealed state and may be warm‐formed at temperatures of 1040°C (1 900°F) or above. Its weldability is limited due to a tendency for stress-induced cracking under high loads. The alloy displays resistance in gas turbine combustion environments at temperatures up to approximately 870°C (1 600°F).
