The Dehydration Catalyst 506HOS combines catalytic, oxidising, and reducing functions. During the catalytic reaction, it can simultaneously conduct oxidation or reduction reactions. For example, this catalyst catalyses the hydrogen-oxygen reaction to produce water in a gas mixture that requires both hydrogenation to remove oxygen and oxidation to remove hydrogen. It can also conduct reduction reactions to remove excess hydrogen or oxidation reactions to remove excess oxygen. Compared to conventional methods, the development and application of this catalyst require less catalyst material, simplified equipment, and reduced investment. The operation is straightforward; no regeneration gases are necessary, and the efficiency is high.

Instructions for Use

Continuous and stable oxygen supply to hydrogen-containing gas or hydrogen supply to oxygen-containing gas: The hydrogen-oxygen gas mixture flows through the purification tower, where hydrogen and oxygen are catalytically converted into water, thereby achieving the removal of hydrogen (or oxygen). Eliminating the remaining hydrogen or oxygen surplus requires switching between reduction and oxidation processes in the purification tower.

• Reduction Operation: Adjust the hydrogen supply valve so that the hydrogen-oxygen content of the gas approaches the stoichiometric ratio, with hydrogen being slightly in excess. The oxygen in the gas phase and the added hydrogen are nearly fully catalytically converted into water, while the excess hydrogen reacts with the "solid-state oxygen" on the catalyst to produce water, thereby meeting the stringent requirements for hydrogen- and oxygen-free gas after purification. After a certain operating period, the online hydrogen measuring device detects hydrogen, and the content gradually increases over time, indicating the end of the reduction process.
• Oxidation Operation: Set the hydrogen supply valve such that the hydrogen-oxygen content in the gas is close to the stoichiometric ratio, with a slight oxygen surplus. The hydrogen in the gas phase and the added oxygen are nearly fully catalytically converted into water, while the excess oxygen reacts with the dehydrator to consume the remaining oxygen, thereby meeting the stringent requirements for hydrogen- and oxygen-free gas after purification. After a certain operating period, the online oxygen measuring device detects oxygen, and the content gradually increases over time, indicating the end of the oxidation process. Subsequently, the reduction operation is repeated, and so forth.
