506TJW Catalyst for Methane Removal Description

The Methane Removal Catalyst 506TJW is a precious metal semiconductor system with strong interaction. It is primarily employed for the removal of hydrocarbons, including methane, from oxygen-containing or oxygen-rich gases. The operational principle entails that when the raw gas flows through the catalyst, the hydrocarbons and methane contaminants in the gas react with oxygen to produce water and carbon dioxide, thereby achieving the objective of hydrocarbon removal and purification.

This catalyst features high catalytic activity, deep purification, large gas processing capacity, and a wide temperature and pressure range (it does not erode at temperatures of 650 °C). There is no need for activation and regeneration, it possesses high mechanical strength, resistance to pulverisation, and sustained activity for continuous use over many years. Furthermore, it demonstrates high resilience against poisoning from toxic substances such as H₂S, SO₂, Cl₂, NH₃, etc. It is safe to use and easy to operate.

User Instructions

• Evenly fill the 506TJW catalyst into the reactor without shaking or compacting it, and seal the reactor.
• Introduce the gas to be purified, set the space velocity to 300 h^-1, and switch on the heating power. Control the heating in 2-3 stages to stabilise the reactor temperature finally at 420 °C. Once the temperature of the catalyst is uniform, it can be put into operation.
• This catalyst requires no pre-treatment, activation, or regeneration. It can be used continuously for several years.
