Molybdenum Wire Description
Molybdenum wire is a type of molybdenum metal product. Molybdenum wire can be categorised as white molybdenum wire, black molybdenum wire, sprayed molybdenum wire, molybdenum wire for cutting wires, etc. Molybdenum wire is used frequently as a material for heating high‐temperature ovens and as a heating wire mesh for carrier materials.
Molybdenum is a grey metal with a very high melting point. It occurs in various oxidation states in minerals but does not occur naturally as a free metal. Molybdenum can be converted readily into hard and stable carbides. Consequently, it is used in the production of steel alloys, high‐strength alloys and superalloys. Molybdenum compounds generally exhibit low solubility in water. In industry, they are employed in high-pressure and high-temperature applications such as pigments and catalysts.

Applications of Molybdenum Wire
1. Heating Elements: Molybdenum wire is used as a heating element given its resistance to high temperatures and corrosion. This property is beneficial for various heating processes in industrial applications.
2. Incandescent and Halogen Lamps: In the lighting industry, molybdenum wire is employed in incandescent and halogen lamps. Its ability to withstand the high temperatures generated during these applications ensures durability and consistent performance.
3. Electron Tube Sockets and Tungsten Filament Supports: Molybdenum wire is utilised in electron tube sockets and as supports for tungsten filaments. Consequently, it contributes to the efficient operation of electronic devices and to the reliability and performance of electronic components.
Molybdenum Wire Packaging
Our molybdenum wire is wrapped in foam and packed in plywood cases to ensure secure storage and safe transport.
