The horizontal 1600°C Flash Sintering Furnace GSL-1600X-FS3KW is a horizontal tube furnace equipped with a programmable 3KW AC power supply, representing an economical option for investigating flash sintering techniques with ceramic materials. This furnace features an alumina tube with an outer diameter of 80 mm and a movable sample holder that can preheat samples up to 1600°C. The sample holder utilises a ceramic screw to press an electric wire against the sample, allowing current to flow from the programmable AC power supply, which can be set to a maximum of 1500 W.

Flash sintering has become a key technology in materials science research, widely used in the development of solid-state electrolytes, solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), and materials with magnetic and thermoelectric properties. This makes the GSL-1600X-FS3KW an essential tool for leading-edge research in these domains.
