Description of H13 Tool Round Bar
H13 tool steel is used in the manufacture of forging dies that must withstand high impact loads, warm flow press dies, precision forging dies and die-casting tools for aluminium, copper and their alloys. It exhibits high machining performance and polishability, high toughness and plasticity, and maintains wear resistance at elevated temperatures. The steel demonstrates consistent overall hardenability and satisfactory high-temperature strength as well as thermal fatigue resistance. Additionally, deformation during heat treatment remains low and the formation of iron oxide deposits during air quenching is minimal.
