430 Stainless Steel Powder Description
Stainless Steel Powder 430 is a fine, powdered form of the stainless steel alloy 430. This ferritic stainless steel contains chromium as the principal alloying element. It exhibits a measured level of corrosion resistance, high oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures and moderate strength. Stainless Steel 430 is used alongside Stainless Steel 304 in domestic and technical applications. The absence of nickel makes 430 less expensive than 304; however, its long‐term corrosion resistance is lower. In short‐term usage there is no substantial difference.
