440C Stainless Steel Powder Description
440C Stainless Steel Powder is the stainless steel from the 400 series that has the highest carbon content. It is employed in applications requiring high hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Stainless steel 440 is available in four variants: 440A, 440B, 440C and 440F. With the exception of 440F, the other 440 steels differ in their carbon content. 440C is the most widely used variant, and 440F is a higher version of 440C with an added S element. The 440C stainless steel exhibits better edge retention when subjected to proper heat treatment.
