Red Nitride Phosphor Powder (YG615) Description
A phosphor is a substance that exhibits luminescence; it emits light when exposed to specific forms of radiation energy. Red nitride phosphor powder (YG615) is noted for its chemical stability, thermal stability and long operational lifetime. It is non-toxic, non‐radioactive and non‐corrosive.
Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) is the primary contact for the sale of LED phosphor in various forms. The company has over 20 years of experience in the manufacture and sale of red nitride phosphor powder (YG615).

Red Nitride Phosphor Powder (YG615) Applications
Phosphor layers produce the majority of light generated by fluorescent lamps and are used to improve the light output of halogen metal vapour lamps. Consequently, different illuminated signs utilise phosphor layers to generate specific colours of light. Electroluminescence displays, for example in aircraft instrument panels, incorporate a phosphor layer to provide glare‐free illumination or serve as numerical and graphical display devices. White LED lamps consist of a blue or ultraviolet emitter with a phosphor coating that emits at longer wavelengths, thereby covering the complete range of visible light.
In conjunction with yellow phosphor powder, red nitride phosphor powder (YG615) may be used to produce LED light with a high CRI. Typically, red nitride phosphor powder (YG615) is used to generate warm white LED light.
