Description of Cordierite Ceramic Heating Components
Cordierite ceramic heating components are manufactured from cordierite ceramics. Cordierite ceramic is a type of magnesium–aluminium silicate that exhibits excellent thermal shock resistance. It also shows low thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion. It is cost effective. It is frequently used as a structural ceramic in fuel additives and is applied in other situations where rapid temperature changes occur.
Properties of Cordierite Ceramic Heating Components
- Excellent thermal shock resistance
- Low thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion
- Good mechanical strength
- Suitable for use at temperatures up to approximately 1 200°C
- High resistance to cracking
