Description of thermal spray powder from pure titanium and titanium alloys
Titanium can be easily alloyed with other metals to fulfil various functions. Powders produced from pure titanium and titanium alloys are applied via chemical and powder metallurgical processes, as well as by thermal spraying, in many applications. Thermal spray coatings derived from titanium materials are generally employed in medical applications that require biocompatibility. Moreover, these coatings are used as coverings for medical implants.

Applications of powder for the thermal spraying of pure titanium and titanium‐based alloys
Given that the powder meets corrosion, oxidation and heat resistance requirements, and demonstrates low wear and adhesion loss, it is applied in a variety of processes, including:

- Plasma transfer arc (PTA) overlay
- Plasma spraying
- Laser cladding

- 3D printing and powder metallurgical processing
Packaging of thermally sprayed powder from pure titanium and titanium‐based alloys
The powders are packed in vacuum aluminium foil bags or filled with inert gas (Ar).
- 500 g per bag
- 20 kg per metal can
- 100 kg and above per steel drum, or customised
All packaging materials are suitable for air, sea and road transport.
