Stanford Advanced Materials College Scholarship 2021 - Deadline: Essay Sep. 1, Video Sep. 7

Announcement: The Winners of the Stanford Advanced Materials College Scholarship 2021

Materials are fundamental to industrial development and have contributed to the prosperity of society. Thousands of years ago, individuals might not have envisaged air or space travel; however, the development of new technologies and materials has made these achievements attainable.

Highly developed materials are essential for ensuring human safety and steadily improving living standards. Please submit an essay (1 000 words or fewer) or submit a video (8 minutes or fewer) addressing the following topics:

#1 Essay Prompt:

Which technological challenge will present the greatest difficulty in the next decade? If you had unlimited resources and funding, which research project would you initiate to address this challenge and why?

#2 Video Prompt:

Describe one of your previous projects or course experiences involving modern materials. What was the objective of the project? Which type of material did you use? What impact did the material have on the project?
