Description of Beryllium Copper Wire

Beryllium copper (BeCu), also known as copper–beryllium and beryllium bronze, is one of the highest strength copper alloys available on the market. The industrial grade contains 0.4–0.2% beryllium. The alloys are non‑magnetic and non‑sparking. Therefore, they are suitable materials for many applications. Given that copper–beryllium performs well in most metal processing and joining methods, specialised configurations can be produced economically.

Beryllium copper wire, which exhibits good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and processability, can be welded and soldered.
