Description of Boron Nitride Nozzles (BN-Nozzles)
Boron nitride (BN), also known as hexagonal boron nitride (H-BN) and hot-pressed boron nitride, is a self-lubricating ceramic. It withstands temperatures exceeding 3 000℃ in an inert atmosphere and retains its lubricating behaviour in high-vacuum environments.
Boron Nitride Nozzles (BN-Nozzles) are manufactured from hot-pressed boron nitride blanks. Hexagonal boron nitride (H-BN) exhibits mechanical behaviour similar to graphite and provides high electrical resistance. BN-nozzles show very low wettability with metals. In comparison with graphite, they are a more appropriate choice for metal spraying at high temperatures.

Applications for Boron Nitride Nozzles (BN-Nozzles)
- Electrical insulators in vacuum systems
- Boron nitride components for PVD, MOCVD and MBE systems
- Nozzles for non-ferrous metal processing
Packaging of Boron Nitride Nozzles (BN-Nozzles)
The BN-nozzles produced by SAM are handled with care. This process minimises damage during storage and transport and maintains the products in their original state.
