Boron Nitride Ring Description
Boron Nitride, also known as BN, hexagonal Boron Nitride (H-BN) and hot-pressed Boron Nitride, is a self-lubricating ceramic that withstands elevated temperatures and maintains its lubricating properties in a high vacuum environment.
The Boron Nitride Brake Ring (H-BN Brake Ring) produced by SAM is manufactured from a hot-pressed Boron Nitride blank. Hexagonal Boron Nitride (H-BN) exhibits mechanical behaviour comparable to that of graphite and demonstrates electrical resistance.
