Description of Amorphous Block Cores
Amorphous block cores are fabricated from a 0.025 mm thick amorphous strip that is stacked and engineered for high performance. Their installation is straightforward, and they can be easily wound with copper wire. The laminations are bonded with an adhesive rated for a continuous operating temperature of 155°C. Amorphous block cores exhibit a high saturation flux density and a low core loss. The amorphous core is suitable for solar inverter filters, medium frequency transformers, output chokes and PFC coils. The dimensions may be manufactured in accordance with the customer’s drawing.
