Amorphous C-Core Description
Amorphous magnetic cores are utilised to achieve compact, lightweight and energy‐efficient designs in many high‐frequency applications for inverters, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), adjustable speed drives (ASD) and switching mode power supplies (SMPS). The amorphous C‐core is designed for high power levels. It is simple to install and can be wound easily with copper wire. The core exhibits a saturation flux density of 1.56 T and low core losses measured under standard test conditions.
