Incoloy 800H (Alloy 800H, UNS N08810) Bar/Rod Description:
Incoloy alloys are a group of superalloys manufactured by Special Metals Corporation. They consist of nickel–iron–chromium compositions required in applications that demand high corrosion resistance and high temperature strength. The base composition is equivalent to that of Inconel alloys; however, variations in elemental percentages result in distinct performance in prescribed applications.
Incoloy 800H is an iron–nickel–chromium alloy. It has the same fundamental composition as Incoloy 800. However, it exhibits a significantly increased creep strength. This increase is achieved by precisely controlling the levels of carbon, aluminium and titanium combined with high temperature annealing. During modification, the carbon content (0.05 to 0.10 %) and grain size (exceeding ASTM 5) were regulated to optimise creep performance. The combined titanium and aluminium content is maintained between 0.85 and 1.2 % to ensure proper high temperature properties. The alloy is dual-certified and fulfils two sets of standard specifications.
